So much more than a recipe book! The recipes alone would make this book worth purchasing. I loved the suggestions, beverage pairings and clear instructions. However, I found myself even more captivated by the stories and photos included with the recipes. I was hooked before I finished the foreword. The book arrived promptly and I anticipate spending some quality time this holiday season reading and cooking. Many thanks to the author for a wonderful read, and great recipes!

A motherlode of fun recipes - and so much more! This charming cookbook has a little bit of everything. Beautiful photos of Whidbey Island, brief, entertaining stories and chit-chat, clear and concise in-process photos, and so many compelling recipes . . . oh, wow! I hardly know where to start (though I think those "Wrinkles" are calling to me), but I can assure you everyone will be getting baked goods for the holidays this year. The author's creativity shines in this book.

Great read, great recipes. I suppose I should have started with the cookies, but the Cheeseburger Soup looked soo tempting. Was absolutely delicious. Made the full batch, which means there are leftovers. Looking forward to the second round. Love reading the stories. If you enjoy reading a good cookbook, instead of just thumbing through a bunch of recipes this is for you.

Must have cookbook, with delicious recipes! What's not to like about a book with clear directions and pictures to help you make the best darn good cookies! Stories and advice give it that personal touch which other books lack. The author makes it clear he wants you to experiment, and share with him your successes. It's such a great book, and a handy e-book, perfect for traveling and wowing people with excellent food! Conquer the world, one cookie square, biscotti, cup of coffee or comfort food recipe at a time!

Highly Recommended! Even if you are a novice baker (like me) you CAN make darn good cookies, etc. with the help of this book. My wife and I have already made several recipes from this book and they came out perfect with Mr. Scoby's tips. Do yourself a favor and get this book. It's is well illustrated and has lots of good instructions and help. Plus, the stories are captivating. Highly recommended!
